Our programme of activities and events for the Spring and Summer 2024 is taking shape. So far…it includes:

FEBRUARY 8^TH   SPRING CONFERENCE at ULLESTHORPE COURT

We have a fantastic line-up for our Spring Conference, with two heavyweights in the world of water management (Tony Hanson and Jacob Tompkins) leading the way.

Later in the day, we have the new CEO of the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, Mat Carter, followed by England Golf’s Sustainability Manager, Owen James.

MAY/JUNE?   SITE VISIT to WELCOMBE GOLF CLUB, STRATFORD

You may have seen on the website (see CASE STUDIES) a feature on the dedicated work of greenkeeper Richard Sheldon at Welcombe GC. We are delighted to announce that in the early Summer of 2024 (date to be decided) Richard has offered to host a morning site visit to Welcombe.

PRACTICAL WORK DAYS with LEICS CC ECOLOGISTS

Links with the environmental team at Leicestershire CC are developing and we are working on plans to provide a practical day using their expertise. The day will include training sessions for greenkeepers and volunteers on, amongst other things, identifying and dealing with invasive species.
