Baby Tawny Owl Release at the Nevill Golf Club
September 2024
Nevill Golf Club in Tunbridge Wells is an example of a club taking sustainability seriously and doing it in innovative ways.
The first of our examples of this features the club’s strong relationship with the Folly Wildlife Rescue Trust (www.follywildliferescue.org.uk).
As part of an ongoing relationship between the golf club and the rescue centre, five gorgeous baby tawny owls were released on the golf course in September this year (2024). The chicks had been nurtured at “the folly” for four months previous to the release back into the wild. The release took place under guidance from qualified staff from the centre.
The Nevill GC has achieved the GEO Certification in 2024.
