Since the Greener Golf project began in Leicestershire and Rutland, we have been well-supported by our local wildlife trust, the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust (LRWT). Indeed, establishing a strong collaboration was integral to the way we wished to develop.

On January 24th DEFRA (the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) has finally released and laid before parliament the statutory BNG metric tool to be used by landowners and developers.

The Leicestershire and Rutland Greener Golf Group hosted its second site visit on Wednesday 14th June at GREETHAM VALLEY GOLF CLUB in Rutland.
Representatives from 12 golf clubs in Leicestershire and Rutland attended the seminar on BNG Funding opportunities at Ullesthorpe on May 19th.
